About Alef Bet Preschool
MORAH SOPHIA KURTZ
Sophia Kurtz is the Judaic co-teacher of our Harrison 4's class working with our lead teacher, Morah Heather. She and her husband have three children , two of whom currently attend Alef Bet. The Kurtzes recently moved from the Jersey Shore to New Rochelle. Sophia worked as a preschool teacher for over six years and is familiar with the Montessori and Reggio-Emilia educational philosophies. We are so excited that Sophia has joined our staff after teaching our 3s in camp this past summer. She brings a fun and warm approach to Judaic studies, including davening, brachot, mitzvot, Jewish holidays and the letters of the Alef Bet.
